On 6 December 1658, in Scituate, Massachusetts, he married Hannah Hatch (1638-1658).
Samuel Utley died 3 June 1662 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Samuel is buried in Men of Kent Cemetery, Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA
Samuel Utley, son of Samuel Utley (1622-1662) and Hannah Hatch Utley (1638-___) was born 9 Sep 1662 in Scituate, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
He died 9 Feb 1722 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.
Samuel Utley (son of Samuel Utley (1662-1722) and Sarah Ashby Utley (1672-1740) was born 6 Mar 1693 in Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.
He died 30 Nov 1746, Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.
Delight Champlin was born in 1728 in Connecticut and died in 1827 in New York.
Her parents were William Champlin (31 May 1702 - ) and Sarah Thompson (3 March 1703 - ) who were both born in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island.
She married (1) Amariah Stanton in 1750 (he was born 19 January 1724 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut; died 11 January 1754) and (2) David Utley (1736-1803).
She is buried in Westernville Cemetery, Westernville, Oneida County, New York.
David Utley was born in 1770 (son of David Utley and Delight Champlin Utley).
He was one of the original directors of Fort Stanwix Bank, and was largely instrumental in forming its organization and shaping its character,
and continued a director till his death. Having been so long a resident of the town, his influence has been very marked in its history,
but this influence did not stop here, but was felt through all Central New York.
He was a strong Democrat until the formation of the Republican party, when he identified himself with its issues and interest,
and was always a delegate to the county conventions. He was ever clear and ready in debate. Several times he was supervisor of the town,
and elected member of Assembly in 1832. He was nominated for sheriff in 1843 against Palmer V. Kellogg of Utica but failed of election
through part disaffection at the time, when the great metaphorphoses of the party were taking place.
The M. E. Society of North Western is largely indebted to his liberality and instrumentality for its church edifice and parsonage.
At the time of the erection of the church, some who contributed largely for it proposed that the church be made a union church.
This he decidedly opposed, remarking that a union church belonged to no one, and as the M. E. Society seemed likely to prevail,
he caused it to be deeded to it. He was always very healthy and robust, and maintained his vigor remarkably until the final prostration,
October 3, when worn out nature began to fail, since which time he suffered much. During life he often expressed a dread of the last struggle,
but his change was very peaceful. He leaves four sons and two daughters, David Utley, of Livingston County, NY, Henry T. Utley of Waterville, NY,
Alfred Utley of Rome, Alvin H. Utley of Westernville, Mrs. Sarah Baker and Miss Emily Utley of North Western. Mrs. Utley died in 1879.
Harmon Gilson Utley (son of David Utley) was born 24 Jun 1829 in Oneida County, New York and died 25 Jun 1899 in Rome, Oneida County, New York.
He married Sarah Augusta Hathaway.
Mary Dennison Utley was born 13 May 1856 in Rome, Oneida County, New York.
She died 23 Jun 1946 in Los Angeles County, California.
